Established in the mid 19th Century to serve the local textile industry, George Sumner Limited became a PLC in 1914. Today we continue to provide a wide range of engineering services both to our sister group companies, OEM’s and general customers alike.

With a capacity list inclusive of boring, turning, milling and welding, George Sumner is well placed to offer competitive rates for batch work, and one-off bespoke or time critical projects.

Our facilities are also available for any sheet metal sub-contract work, including welding and light assembly operations. We also offer a speciality service in machine guarding, including vandal guards for mobile plant.
